Araluen Botanic Park is a very special place nestled in the deep jarrah forested valley in the Darling Range. Araluen is a tranquil botanic garden of natural and developed beauty, providing four seasons of relaxing activity. Whatever time you visit Araluen, you will find the streams flowing, plenty of grassy areas on which to enjoy a barbecue or picnic and several delightful bush walks to take.

It’s “Springtime at Araluen” featuring the renowned tulip display.

Botanic Golf and Billiard Golf combine to create Australia’s largest mini golf complex. No matter what your age or skill level, you are sure to have lots of laughs and create many happy memories as you attempt to conquer the tricks and traps of our two great mini golf courses. Play areas within the Ivey Watson Playground have been upgraded and are specifically targeted for children aged under five. New play elements, designed to cater for families and older children, have been installed on Hale Oval such as the very popular ’space net’. Hale Oval has been continuously used as a playground and sporting ground since 1897.

Stickybeaks Cafe is the ideal place for young families to meet and enjoy a vast selection of delicious food while the children play in the Ivey Watson Playground or Lotterywest Family Area.

You can either take a seat under the patio and watch the excitement, or take your meal to a shady grass patch and enjoy an impromptu picnic in the playground.

Synergy Park

The Synergy Parkland is a recreation area for the entire family with the playground particularly suitable for children over six years.

The Parkland features a 75m-long elevated walkway, a two-tiered island fort, large-scale replicas of local dinosaurs, a timber boardwalk and an interactive water misting forest. Children can run headlong into the millennia-old past, follow the footprints of giant dinosaurs and discover ancient fossils.

Zamia is renowned for the freshness and variety of its food and this is a result of all menu items being prepared and cooked on site. The Cafe also provides a large range of cakes, coffees, ice-creams, cold drinks and take-away foods.

During January Revolutions offers a variety of craft activities, story telling and a puzzle trail – test your brain, and go in the draw to win fantastic prizes.

Mon 18th and Tues 19th Jan

Be dazzled by Derek Nannup as he performs a traditional Aboriginal dance, and showcases his talents on the didgeridoo. Experience the ‘Dreaming’, and participate in boomerang painting and headband making.

The Ayers Rock Surf Lifesaving Club

Weds 20th Jan

11.30am and 1.00pm

Acrobatics, slapstick comedy, Charleston, juggling, hula-hooping, deckchair balancing, and audience interaction combine in a light-hearted tale of dashing heroes,  diabolical villains, and charming damsels.  The Ayers Rock Surf Lifesaving Club is uniquely Australian, paying tribute to that great Aussie icon, the surf lifesaver.

Meet Auzzie the eagle along with some of our Australian furry friends. Make your own animal mask and enjoy the many other exciting activities available.

Fri 22nd Jan

Draw on your creativity and partake in an array of Australian themed art activities. Make your very own Australian flag, Aussie badge to wear on Australia Day, gumnut magnet and much, much more.
