Paramatta Eels Junior Development Clinic

All Fremantle juniors are encouraged to come down to Ken Allen and participate in the clinic. It will be a great opportunity to see the likes of Jarryd Hayne, Fui Fui Moi Moi and Nathan Hindmarsh up close. All the Eels will be signing autographs and having their picture taken just like last season when the Sydney Roosters came over.

On Sunday 14th Feb the Eels play the Dragons in an early season trial at ME stadium.

The Dragons will use the Perth game to kick start their 2010 season against a confident Parramatta Eels who staged a stunning run in the final series this year to get through to the grand final. Buy tickets at Ticketmaster

Asterix and Obelix have been given a tough mission: transform the Chief’s lazy nephew Justforkix into a warrior. Meanwhile, a group of fearless Viking warriors travel to Asterix’s village on a quest to discover the meaning of fear, having heard that fear gives you wings. When Justforkix is kidnapped, Asterix and Obelix must mount a desperate rescue mission in order to save their protégé before the Chief discovers their incompetence.

Toddlers under 5 year olds

Get ready to hear the pitter patter of little feet as toddlers take over Scitech for an entire fortnight in February! Parents are encouraged to bring children and babies under 5 along to enjoy a range of exciting science activities specifically geared for toddlers.

Children can sing and dance along to the Kangaroo Creek Gang and Puppet Shows, touch a baby animal in the petting zoo, create play-dough creations and blow bubbles – and the Baby Play Zone is especially good for the under 3’s.

Idibidi Kids is running a series of free infant and toddler massage sessions during Toddlerfest at Scitech in West Perth. For session times and info, please visit http://www.idibidikids.com.au learn fun ways to interact with your baby or toddler through massage and positive touch games to rhymes and songs. Parents Without Partners offers a range of activities for single parents and their children.  Camping, dances, dinners, movies, barbecues, picnics, bike rides, paint ball, lawn and tenpin bowling just to name a few.  Give them a call for more details.

Young Parent Support Group - 9381 1996

Held at Number 86 Youth Centre, this group is for parents under the age of 26 who have children or are expecting a child and aims to  help them adjust to parenthood through a peer support approach.  Parents experiencing custody issues can also join.

Learning a new language or keeping one going can be made easier by contacting one of the many language schools and private teachers who have lessons for children throughout Perth.

The ultimate aim is to enable inclusion into mainstream sports activities.
