At Fremantle Sailing Club we have a beautifully protected pond with a beach providing a super safe, controlled environment to run our classes.We have the finest coaches who work under our internationally acclaimed 2008 Olympic Sailing Coach, Arthur Brett. Our courses are Yachting Australia accredited.

School Holiday Sailing Courses

Course run weekly from Mon 4th Jan – 22nd Jan

8.30am – 12 noon and 2.00 – 4.30pm

8 – 13 year olds who must be able to swim 50m fully clothed.

Costs $225.00

Fremantle Sailing Club will be conducting weekly ‘Get into Small Boat Sailing’ courses – Basic Skills Level 1 & 2, Better Sailing and Racing Skills throughout January. Basic Skills will be held in the mornings and Better Sailing and Racing Skills in the afternoons. All our courses are Yachting Australia accredited.

Situated on the foreshore of the Swan River at Nedlands, with wide grassy lawns and sandy beaches, the Nedlands Yacht Club is an ideal location for sailing.   Learning the basics in regards to sailing small boats under the guidance of experienced, accredited and enthusiastic coaches.

  • Potentially getting wet (take no valuables that could be lost or damaged by getting wet on board the training boat).
  • Being physically involved in boat handling on and off the water.
  • Yachting Australia accredited “Basic Skills 1 & 2” certificate. Qualified instructors, boats and equipment supplied

Would your children like to learn to sail or are you simply looking for an interesting leisure activity? Every school holidays Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club Sail Training School offers learn to sail programs in Optimist and Pacer dinghies, Keelboat Crewing Courses in BW8 Sports Boats and powerboat handling programs. Courses of one week duration (Monday to Friday) are conducted by competent instructors accredited by Yachting Australia, in the safe and sheltered waters of Freshwater Bay in Peppermint Grove. This is a fun and exciting way to spend the holidays.
