Children can get hands-on in art-making activities, watch the amazing art of ice-sculpting, and see and participate in bush band performances. You also can have your face painted, play historical games, follow the children’s Art Trail, and listen to storytellers and bush poets
Come upstairs and join Karin the Kangaroo to experience this exciting space designed especially for families. Explore different textures, build a 3D puzzle, discover secrets about colour and uncover the intriguing journey of an artwork. Copy poses and expressions from portraits, test your knowledge of art words and ideas and imagine yourself in the midst of an artwork as you lay back and experience the sights and sounds of the scene.
wonderland also features a reading area, seating for well-deserving parents and a variety of hands-on activities that are suitable for a diverse age range of children whilst supervised by their guardians.

This year the Aviation Heritage Museum celebrates its 30th Anniversary. Showcasing on the the finest aviation collections in Australia.

They have a range of cars and motorcycles from the early 20th century through to the modern day. The Batavia Gallery is the centrepiece of the Shipwreck Galleries. It houses the reconstructed remains of the VOC ship Batavia which was excavated by Maritime archaeologists in the 1970s.
After lengthy treatment by the Department of Materials Conservation, the remains were rebuilt in this gallery. Also on display is the skeleton of one of the people murdered on the Houtman Abrolhos, the portico facade that the Batavia was carrying as cargo for the Indies, and many other artefacts.
Spice Captains of the High Seas!

Become a legendary spice captain of the high seas. Armed with a map and clues children will step back in time to set sail across the world’s oceans to buy exotic and valuable spices.
Visitors will even decorate their own calico bounty bag using fabulous fabric markers or make an origami Nagasaki ship to take home.

DINOSAURS ALIVE! is an educative and fun-filled exhibition featuring robotic dinosaurs. It takes visitors along the 165-million-year journey of the Age of Dinosaurs.
Visitors can marvel and learn about the seven dinosaurs on display as they walk through the exhibition. They will see Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, Apatosaurus, Allosaurus, Iguanodon and Triceratops in motion. By seeing the life-like dinosaurs move in front of them, visitors can imagine how the magnificent creatures once roamed the Earth. The exhibition presents more wonderful learning opportunities with informative panels on climate change, flora and fauna, fossils, extinction theories, endangered species and Australian dinosaurs placed throughout the space. There’s also a shop with books, toys and a range of useful and educative dinosaur related products.

The Western Australian Museum – Maritime provides exhibitions on Shipwrecks discovered off the Western Australian coast and Western Australia’s Maritime endeavours. We have 3 main sites in Fremantle that bring together Western Australia’s Maritime heritage.

In the days of one-piece bathing suits and parasols, a pretty girl visits the Beach, attracting the attention of the dashing local lifeguards. She swims out to sea, but suddenly, she is in trouble! Is it a rip, a shark, a jellyfish? Will our hero reach her in time to save her and win her heart? Or will the dainty damsel turn the tables and rescue our hero when he finds himself out of his depth?
