WAkids is a blog about what’s going on in Perth, The Western Suburbs & Fremantle, for families. Ask any parent and we all agree, bringing up children here in Perth is fantastic and there is a lot going on. Like most of you, getting to know what’s going on takes a lot of effort trawling through the spread of information. So I thought I’d try and pull it all together and put them into a one stop shop/blog WAkids.

What I like about the blog layout is you the reader, can add your comments/events and keep this information really relevant and up to date about what’s going on from within Perth, a real homegrown hub of family resources.

This will eventually lead to a permanent website, detailing all of the activities throughout Perth’s suburbs during term time as well as what’s on during the school holidays.

A blog sounds great to me – I’m really pleased you’re interested in my new venture!

There will be a term course running in Mount Lawley and Subiaco, but the holiday activities will be in the eastern hills (2 venues, I live up there!) and a week in Mount Lawley. You are very welcome to come to the launch at Mt Lawley this Saturday 28th Nov 3-5pm and you can ask me all the questions you like, it will also be a chance to see how the course itself will be laid out and conducted as attendees will be able to play with all the instruments themselves!
